county championships
New York, New York- we finally took the chance to go to New York with the girls and see a broadway play (Sam spent the day and evening with the neighbors and with backpack in tow said, "bye Mom") . We had lunch at a fun futuristic theme restaurant 2010 and then went through the American Girl museum/store, ToysRus, M&M world and of course Lion King.

Bald Head Island
We just got back from the greatest vacation. Bald Head Island, North Carolina. Part of the barrier islands off the coast of North Carolina, Bald Head dates back to Revolutionary War times in terms of permanent residents. Currently it is accessible by ferry boat only and no cars are allowed-golf carts only. Being an island offers a unique refuge but without any cars it had an amazing tranquility. You never knew what time it was nor did you care. There are only about 200 year round residents. Wildlife was everywhere alligators, fox, deer and racoons could be seen all around - in addition it is a nesting ground for loggerhead sea turtles.

Spring in Wyomissing for the Brooks
Hi everyone! We have been busy as usual this spring getting our house ready to sell. We are excited and sad all at once about our upcoming big move back to SLC. Emma and Claire both went camping with their girl scout troops. Lauren finished up her softball season. Claire and her friend Abby decorated a wagon and pulled Sam in the Memorial Day parade. We still enjoy taking walks with our family in the parkland down the street and spending time with awesome friends. We have been to three spring concerts and the school art show. Emma, Claire and Sophie are working out at the YMCA pool to get ready for summer swimming. I will have to get better at this as the summer goes on. We miss those of you we don't get to see often and hope you are doing great.

Great Wolf Lodge February '08
We had been wanting to visit the Great Wolf Lodge from the day it opened 3 years ago. It is a great indoor water park in the Pocono Mountains in Pennsylvania. We finally decided to go. Everyone loved it! There were some great water slides a wave pool and a huge bucket that dumped water on all of the kids.
